Tim Stone began his working life on the Senior Management Development Programme with Nat-West Bank whilst training to be an estate administrator in their Executor and Trustee Dept. In 1992 he joined the Royal National Institute of the Blind as their Head of Legacies and spent the next fourteen years making sure that the charity's legacy income was properly received and accounted for. He founded, and for several years chaired, the Institute of Legacy Management (the representative body for charity legacy officers) and was instrumental in writing and developing the Institute's Certificate of Competence.

A member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, he was until recently a member of STEP's Disciplinary Panel and also sat on their Probate & Estates Committee.

Tim joined Hague Lambert in June 2007 as Head of Probate at the Knutsford office and took up his current post as Practice Director a year later.

He now lives 1,300' up a hill in the Peak District where his dog Moss (who also acts as an occasional photoshoot model for Hague Lambert) helps him tend their small flock of pedigree White-Faced Woodland sheep.
